Horoscope Qualities

Assembling a Horoscope
In the Zoroastrian calendrical and zodiacal system, the qualities of the month and associated houses remained constant. The constellation occupying the house will change depending on the zodiacal age.

A birth or event horoscope can be constructed by applying the qualities associated with the birthday or event:
  1. Calendar month names and qualities/properties/traits,
  2. Calendar day names and qualities/properties/traits,
  3. House,
  4. Zodiacal sign
  5. Zodiacal age
  6. Particular positions of the sun, moon, stars and planets
It is possible that naming a person, entity or event with one of the month-day names can also influence its properties.

The Zoroastrian day starts at sunrise, i.e. when the first rays of the Sun shine over the horizon. The start of the day is therefore variable. (Also see When does the Zoroastrian Day Start?)

The Zoroastrian year starts at sunrise on the day of the spring equinox.

The days on which the names of the month and day coincide are considered particularly auspicious.

While the zodiacal signs can be seen as influencing and adding a further dimension to the horoscope, it is the month and day qualities, supplemented by the qualities of the house, that are the primary determinants of the horoscope.
